Bedford Village Fire District

The Bedford Village Fire District is a separate municipal entity that manages local fire tax monies to facilitate emergency services for Bedford Village. The District is governed by a board of five publicly elected volunteer Fire Commissioners and several paid employees. Fire Commissioners must be residents of the Bedford Village fire district and serve staggered 5-year terms. They are responsible for fire operations and for providing operational equipment to the Fire Department, including the firehouse building, fire trucks and ambulances, protective gear for first responders, other fire and rescue equipment, and medical supplies.
